The mission, simply put, is to inspire student learning, hard work, discipline and self-esteem by strengthening the role of music and the arts in the Oakland public school system. This is a grassroots organization being built not only with the vision of its co-founders, but, more significantly, with the input, ideas and creativity of the Oakland public school teachers, principals and the community at large.
