“Great Music With 2-4-1 Fun”
World renowned Saxophonist / Health & Wellness advocate Ric “2-4-1” Alexander, MPA has recently been nominated by the Bay Area Black Music Awards as “Best Jazz Musician” for his unique style of playing two saxophones at the same time. Awards ceremony will be held at Yoshi’s – Oakland on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 3:00pm.
Starting in April, Ric will debut his local social responsibility campaign entitled Get Blue Tuesdays with the message “Get Blue, Get Checked, Get Involved” to create awareness about how men 40 and over can get checked for Prostate cancer in a non-invasive way with a blood or urine test. Blue ribbons will be provided for everyone. The event will also feature live music, comedy and a new dance called the 2-4-1 Burn, which promotes how to burn calories through line dancing.
Save the date April 30, 2013, 6:30pm and come experience the kick-off Get Blue Tuesdays event. The first 100 attendees to RSVP will receive a gift, although RSVP is not required to attend.
